Rendez-vous de la Création Francophone

In partnership with the CNC and the SACD

Over the course of two days, nearly 200 one-on-one meetings enable French and French-speaking project holders to meet with actors in the international market.

Around fifteen projects in the development, writing or pre-production phase will soon be selected by a specific committee for their novelty, originality and high international potential.

The French-language fiction series projects will then be presented by their producers and authors to some fifteen foreign investors (distributors, co-producers, broadcasters, financial investors, etc.) during individual meetings to be held in September in La Rochelle.

Rendez-vous de la Création Francophone are

“The long-term connection with professional actors”

“The opportunity to quickly gauge some potential partners”

“”A help to refine the project, acquire a better knowledge of the market, but also to bond the team””
“”Gathering feedback, understanding what the strengths and weaknesses of our project were.””

Created in 2018, in partnership with the CNC and the SACD, the Rendez-vous de la Création Francophone (RCF) are increasingly successful every year.

The RCFs represent more than 100 applications received each year, nearly 80 projects pitched since their creation in 2018 and more than 1,000 individual meetings held in La Rochelle.

After only five years of existence, the RCFs have enabled the development and production of several projects.

Among them are:

  • Coyotes, a series presented in 2018 by Panache Productions, has been selected in the Foreign Francophone Competition section in 2021 ;
  • La crue, a series presented in 2020 by AT-Prod, has signed a development contract with Global Screen ;
  • Sambre, a series presented in 2020 by What’s Up Films, is signed with Federation Entertainment and France Télévisions
